Privacy Policy

What this site is

A set of static pages describing our company, our products and our open source packages. It has no forms, no sign-up, no accounts and no newsletter. There is nothing to fill in and nothing to log into. It runs no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts, sets no cookies of its own, and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts and images are served from this domain, and the page loads nothing from a third-party server.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Delivering a page means Cloudflare handles the technical data any web server sees: your IP address, your browser's user agent and the page you asked for. An IP address counts as personal data, which is why this section exists. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected. Cloudflare acts as our processor; those logs stay with Cloudflare, and we do not download them or use them to identify or profile visitors.

Two small scripts are served from this domain by Cloudflare rather than by us: one that checks whether a visitor is an automated bot, and one that decodes the email address on the page so it cannot be read by address-harvesting robots. Cloudflare also asks your browser to report network errors back to it, so connection failures are visible. None of this is used for advertising or measurement.

There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing here to consent to. No cookie is set when you visit. Cloudflare's bot protection can set a short-lived security cookie when traffic looks automated; if that happens, it exists to keep the site standing and for nothing else.

Emails you choose to send us

Every contact route on this site is a plain mailto: link. It opens your own email client, already addressed. Nothing reaches us unless you decide to press send, and the message travels from your mail provider to ours without passing through this website. Our mailboxes are hosted on Google Workspace, so Google holds what you send us on our behalf.

If you write to us, your address and your message are used to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not profile you, and we do not share or sell anything. Correspondence is kept for up to three years from the last exchange, then deleted.

If you ask to be told when a product launches

Three of our products are not open yet, and the link offering to tell you when one launches is a mailto: like every other: it opens your email client with the subject line already written, and nothing reaches us until you send it.

If you send it, we keep your address for one reason: to tell you when that product opens. The legal basis is your own request: you asked, in your own words, and that ask is the only thing that puts your address in our inbox. We will not use it to announce a different product, we will not fold it into a mailing list, and we will not pass it to anyone. We delete it once that message has gone out, or sooner if we drop the product and there is nothing left to send. You can ask to be taken off at any time before then. One email, no explanation needed.

Your rights, and what they apply to

The only personal data we hold about you is an email you chose to send us, plus what Cloudflare logs on our behalf when you load a page. If you have never written to us, we hold nothing about you and there is nothing to ask for.

If you have written to us, you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it or delete it, restrict what we do with it, or receive it in a portable form. You can object to processing we base on legitimate interest, and if you asked to be notified about a launch you can withdraw that request at any time. One email to contact@vimatech.io is enough. No form, no account needed.

Where the data sits

We use two providers, and both are American companies: Cloudflare, which serves this site, and Google, which hosts our mailboxes. Where data reaches them outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, we rely on the data protection terms each of them publishes for their customers.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom, or to the supervisory authority where you live.
